:: ASPECTS OF STABLE WEDNESDAY ::
Town of Bethlehem
Construction is under way for a new Herods palace and a facade in front of the market tent facing the town square. Two busy teams are hard at work – one at the Vietnam Vets Menshed and the other the Salvo shed where the design team is working with a group of YWAMers. We are still looking for someone or two to manage the market tent. A fun job – any takers? Contact me if you’re interested. Robyn Frewen-lord.
The town of Bethlehem is what makes Stable on the Strand unique. For five nights the town of Bethlehem comes alive as we re-enact Bethlehem 2000 years ago. Don’t miss the Roman quarter with Herod, his guards and attendants; or the temple. There are shepherds watching their sheep on the hill; innkeepers guarding their hotels; wise men looking for a baby and bustling markets selling fine cloth, wool, pottery, bread & fish. Hidden away in a smelly stable is Mary. Joseph & baby Jesus. Oh! & watch out for the beggars they want to take your money!
