Stable 2018 Artist Application
Thank you for your interest in applying to perform at Stable on the Strand 2018.
We are excited about giving local and regional performers the opportunity to perform and showcase their talent – performers such as musicians, singers, choirs, soloists, bands, dancers, comedians, MCs, festival artists, storytellers, children’s performers, and actors.

The Stable on the Strand Team

Stable on the Strand is looking for performers to share the Christian message of Christmas.
– Musicians, singers, choirs, soloists, bands: 15-20 minute performances with 5 minute changeovers
– Dancers, comedians, festival artists, storytellers, children’s performers, and actors: 10 minute performances with 5 minute changeovers
As part of the application process you will be asked to submit a list of your performance pieces, the lyrics for songs, and any scripts you will be using. Please also include other details which are relevant to your performance or you feel will be helpful to our team as they review your application.
When choosing songs/music for your set we ask you to uphold the Christian Christmas message of Stable on the Strand and choose material that aligns to those values. In cases where it is deemed a song is not appropriate for the event, Stable on the Strand reserves the right to request the song not be played or sung.

Stable 2018 Artist Application Stage Information – YOUR NAME HERE
During the application process you will have the opportunity to nominate your preferred performance day/s. We will endeavour to schedule your performance on one of these days however we cannot guarantee your performance day until we receive all applications and create the schedule for Stable 2018.
A keyboard and electric drum kit will be supplied. Please bring all other instruments and props. Drummers can bring their own cymbals.
Testing & Tagging
Any electrical equipment you bring to use at Stable must be ‘tagged and tested’. If you need assistance with this, please consult an electrician.
On the Day
Please arrive at least one hour prior to your performance time. When you arrive check in at the Volunteer Information Tent; then report to the Stage Manager in the Backstage area.
You will be advised of your sound check time prior to your performance.
We expect you to adhere to your allocated set length. Your set length will be confirmed by the Festival & Stages Team Leader or the Stage Manager in early December. The same expectation applies to any sound checks. We appreciate your cooperation.
When performing at Stable 2018 we ask you to be mindful and respectful of others, particularly around the stage area. It is a shared space and there will be a lot going on.
Once you have submitted your application you should receive an email confirming it has been sent to us. Following the closing date we will review the applications and advise you accordingly.
