Volunteers Needed for Team Townsville Door Knock Phase 2

An opportunity to continue to assist the people of our city as we move forward in our recovery together.

Team Townsville Door Knock Phase 2 is heading to the streets to care for the residents of Townsville by:

  • Asking “How are you doing?”
  • Connecting them to essential services
  • Serving residents
  • Helping them to rebuild their lives in the aftermath of the floods.

Phase 2 will focus on neighbourhoods of Townsville with a high proportion of residents vulnerable to social isolation post-disaster, scaled by proximity to flooded areas.

This is a unique opportunity to work together with the Townsville City Council to meet a huge need in our city; to look people in the eye and ask if they’re okay. The teams who have headed out so far have found it has been a tremendous support to people who have been through very traumatic circumstances. This is an opportunity to take the love of God to this city.

Would your church or organisation consider adopting a suburb/area?
