The Promise of Peace
Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace.
Stable on the Strand each year adopts a theme. This year, the message crosses the thousands of years since it was first sung by the angels above Bethlehem.
The Promise of Peace is a vital message today for the nations of the world, our own country, our community, our families and for individual lives. It is a message for all – children, teens, adults and seniors – and relevant whether or not you are associated with a church and the Christian faith.
The Promise of Peace encourages all people to consider why it was chosen and what it means – particularly in this present age when peace seems so far away.
The Promise of Peace is timely for our Christmas Festival and the soon-to-follow New Year. This is because Jesus Christ – baby, man, teacher and risen Saviour – is the central character in God’s peace plan.
May the Lord of Peace give you peace at all times and in every way.
